As the conflict intensifies in Syria and Iraq, causing so much suffering, there are other places where extreme hardship goes unreported by the media. One of these places is Eritrea.
Years of drought, political tension and economic instability have led to food crises in Eritrea. Over 99,000 Eritreans are now refugees stranded in Ethiopia.
Please join me in supporting Eritrea’s forgotten refugees.
In April, I visited the Mai-Aini refugee camp. In this desolate place, a dusty barren land, I was struck by some people I met, including Megnoty, a 15 year old girl who left in 2013 with her baby brother and mother because there was no more food. Her mother didn’t make it.
These refugees are normal, yet courageous people going through exceptional conditions. They count on you and me to live in dignity. Through CNEWA’s local church partners, we can help alleviate their suffering.
Join me in helping them in their struggle to live better lives. Please give today!
